Admission Requirements
 >> Bachelor Degree

The first step in seeking entrance to The Center for Continuous Learning at Ursinus College is an appointment with an academic adviser prior to course registration.  Academic advising also provides individualized information about academic standards, support, admission requirements, transfer credit evaluation, and off-campus course options.  Students may be admitted as unclassified students or as degree candidates.  In either case, no entrance examinations are required, but a High School Diploma or GED is required.  Special exception is given to High School seniors with strong academic standing who may take classes with the permission of their guidance counselor.

Admission as an unclassified student does not guarantee acceptance as a degree candidate at a later date.  A student must submit appropriate academic records and meet prescribed entrance requirements to be accepted as a degree candidate.  However, once admitted as a degree candidate, all course work completed, as an unclassified student will be applied to the student's degree requirements.

Evening students must be accepted as degree candidates in order to earn a degree from the College. Students should submit an "Application for Admission to Degree Candidacy" when they are ready to commit to completion of a degree and have been advised they meet the eligibility requirements.  No student may earn more than 24 Ursinus semester hours of course credit without applying for acceptance as a degree candidate.  Click the Degree Candidacy option under "More information..." for details.
