Alpha Sigma Lambda Adult Education Foundation Scholarship
The Alpha Sigma Lambda Adult Education Foundation is offering five scholarships for the 2008-09 academic year in the amount of $1200.00 and one scholarship in the amount of $1500.00.

Eligibility:
• Currently attending classes
• 25 years of age or older
• Matriculated
• Have completed at least 30 semester hours at Ursinus College
• Have a G.P.A. of at least 3. 2
• Demonstrate financial need for the current academic year

Procedure:
• Applicants must submit an application form
• One official Ursinus transcript
• A personal statement
• One letter of recommendation from a faculty member

If you are interested you may download the application and forms in the "More Information" box. Applications must be forwarded to the Center for Continuous Learning by April 15. Two nominations will be chosen for submission to a general pool.

Wage Program
In 2005, the state of Pennsylvania initiated the WAGE program which provides grants to encourage adults to continue with their education. The Center for Continuous Learning has been a part of this process since it began. These grants are awarded to both men and women in specified fields. The Student Financial Aid office has details on qualifications. Take the time to meet with a financial advisor to learn more about this opportunity.

Charlotte Newcombe Grants for Women
Charlotte Newcombe Scholarship Grants-Women students who have completed one-half of the courses required for a baccalaureate degree* are targeted for this scholarship grant.  Recipients must be at least 25 years of age.  The awards are granted in amounts ranging between $200 and $2,500 for an academic year.  The funds are provided to Ursinus from the Charlotte Newcombe Foundation in New Jersey.  A FAFSA must be filed in addition to the other forms listed under the "Application" section. Applications for fall awards should be received by August 25 and those for spring semester should be received by January 15 for primary consideration. Read more on the Charlotte W.
